Like most racing events, Aintree has a strict alcohol policy that states 鈥渘o alcohol can be brought onto the premises and this will be confiscated on arrival by a member of the security team.?/p>
So it is possible that you will be searched when arriving at Aintree and operates may ask to look inside your bag.
The same applies to food. The racecourse website states: 鈥淔ood and drink cannot be brought onto the racecourse and will be confiscated by security staff upon arrival.
鈥淎intree has a wide range of food and drink concessions on offer in all enclosures. Picnics can only be consumed in the parking areas.?/p>
But perhaps picnics in the car park aren鈥檛 such a bad idea - many race goers at Cheltenham decided to eat their picnics in the car park before heading in for the racing.
