A Liverpool deli has been named a finalist in the farm shop and deli awards 2017.
It is the third consecutive year that Delifonseca Dockside, in Brunswick Dock, has beaten competition from across the nation to be named as a finalist in the prestigious awards - this time in the Food Hall of the Year category.
The delis are picked after evaluation and deliberation, secret visits and mystery shops by a panel of industry experts.
Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca says: 鈥淭o be regarded on a national scale as a result of the panel鈥檚 in-depth analysis, which studied our operation, staff product knowledge and our commitment to stocking locally sourced products, not only helps to further the recognition of our provision, but it also puts the city of Liverpool on the good food map.
鈥淭he news of our shortlist now means that we are we currently up for not just one but two awards, as we were also recently nominated in the 鈥楾aste鈥?category in the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards. With that in mind, 2017 is looking to be a very exciting year indeed.?/p>
This year the panel of judges at the awards includes chair of judges Nigel Barden, co-chair of judges Elaine Lemm together with Holly Shackleton, editor of speciality food and Jamie Hall from Neal鈥檚 Yard Dairy and many more.
