Liverpool 's first Ice Cream Festival is coming to the city this summer.
Artisan ice cream is set to be one of the biggest summer food trends this year.
Ice cream manufacturers from all over the region and beyond will descend on Liverpool to share their new flavours with high quality ingredients including organic and even vegan.
Ice Cream Festival UK , run by two Bavarian entrepreneurs Christian Ruffing and Johannes Schubert, will be holding a street food-style festival will everything from the ice lolly to ice cream bowl on offer.
Christian said: "There will be a cozy lounge area and we will offer relaxing summer beats and local bands.
"Last year, we have organised two very successful Ice Cream Festivals in Germany (Munich and Hamburg) with more than 20,000 visitors and 50 different exhibitors."
Now Christian and Johannes are bringing the festivals to the UK.
Christian added: "It is our aim to support local businesses with their artisan products, like organic or vegan ice cream. We want to be a local festival with local products for the local people.
