A Woolton restaurant has been named as the place which serves up the best Indian cuisine in Liverpool.
During the Liverpool Lifestyle Awards at the Liner Hotel, Holdi was named the winner of the title for the second successive year.
The small chain of restaurants, owned by Rukon Kamaly, has branches in Woolton, Little Sutton and Northwich with a fourth - in Rainford - on the way.
Rukon said: 鈥淲e were delighted to win it first time, so to win it for the second consecutive year was a huge achievement for us.
鈥淭here are a lot of fantastic restaurants in this great city, serving up outstanding Asian cuisine, so yes, we are really happy to win this again - it is great recognition for my team.?/p>
The Woolton Village restaurant in particular has become a hit with local celebrities, with names such as Danielle Lloyd and members of the Hollyoaks cast spotted popping in for a meal.
Speaking about the latest restaurant, Rukon added: 鈥淲e had our eye on this beautiful place for a while, so we are delighted to finally open.
鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to getting to know the people of the area and also to introduce them to our exquisite Holdi food.?/p>
