All the family can experience the exotic wildlife on display at the Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay, which is open daily open from 9.30am to 5pm.

All the family can see a variety of different animals ranging from the fantastic selection of wild birds, from the exotic macaw to the born-predator hawks.

Then for the more playful, the likes of the sea lions and penguins in live demonstrations at their energetic best are sure to entertain!

Go bouncing in a cave

Bounce Below in North Wales

Head to Bounce Below for a one of a kind experience - bouncing underground in a 176-year old disused cavern, twice the size of St Paul鈥檚 Cathedral.

You will find this subterranean playground, installed with huge bouncy nets that are hung within two vast chambers at different levels th highest being 180ft up from the bottom of the cavern, linked together by walkways and slides.

Children aged seven to 12 must be accompanied by adult.

Ride on a train

The Llangollen Railway line follows the River Dee

Llangollen Railway is the only standard gauge heritage railway in North Wales and can be found by the historic Dee Bridge (built in 1345) in the centre of Llangollen town.

The journey is a relaxing 10 miles travelling through the stunning Dee Valley to the lovely town of Corwen the cross roads of North Wales, with the line following the picturesque River Dee.

Visit a castle or two

Caernarfon Castle in North Wales

There are so many historic castles to visit in North Wales - take your pick from the National Trust's Penrhyn Castle in Bangor, Caernarfon Castle , Chirk Castle in Wrexham, Conway Castle - the list goes on.

Have fun at an adventure park

This GreenWood Forest Park in Gwynedd is set in 27 acres and is a great day out with woodland adventures, awesome attractions and forest family fun on offer.
