Paw Patrol Live is coming to Liverpool this summer but if you were hoping to get tickets - you might have to dig deep.

Tickets for the huge arena show, based on the hit animated Nickelodeon TV series produced by Spin Master, go on sale tomorrow at 9am for the three shows on Wednesday, August 16 at the ECHO Arena .

However, the price of tickets which start from £28 up to £39.50, has left a lot of parents disappointed and angry.

Many responded on the ECHO Facebook page saying that the cost of tickets was 'scandalous'.

Jacki Howarth wrote: "Have you seen the price of the tickets?

"Scandalous that it's so much for a children's show and they put on three shows in a day.

"Out of reach for most families, I would love to take my children but cannot justify spending over £100 on tickets before we've even got to the event!"

Tracy Highton posted: "Disgusting prices, especially for young kids, and even more so when you've got four to take with you, I don't know what world these people live in."

Parents have complained on Facebook over the price of tickets to see Paw Patrol Live

Joanne McEnroe added: "I read this and thought great, I'll get tickets for this until I saw the prices!

"Absolutely extortionate prices! Not even half price tickets for kids! How can you justify charging the same price ticket for an 18-month old as an adult?

"Especially when said child will probably spend most of the show on an adult's knee! £100 plus for a family of four for a couple of hours is a huge rip off!

"Thanks to this we won't be able to go as I cannot justify spending that amount for what will probably be less than a 2 hour show. Disgraceful daylight robbery!"

However, despite lots of parents complaining there were still lots of Facebook users tagging and sharing the story with their friends and making plans to see the show.

This is how the show's producers responded

Life Like Touring who are producing the show told the ECHO: "PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue is an international arena-scale production in the UK for the first time and features fabulous sets, costumes, giant puppets, special effects and multi-media technology.

"We are committed to offering a great value experience to families and ensuring as many people as possible can enjoy the show. There are a range of price options and ticket prices are comparable to shows of a similar scale that tour the UK.

"It鈥檚 important to note that PAW Patrol Live! will be staged in smaller capacity venue configurations to offer audiences a more intimate experience. Another point of difference is that our top priced ticket includes a VIP Meet & Greet experience where kids get to meet Chase & Marshall after the show.

"Although not available during pre-sale, excellent value groups prices will be available from Thursday 9am at www.pawpatrollive.com/uk .

"Patrons should ensure that they only purchase tickets from the official box office site ( www.pawpatrollive.com/uk ), and not through resellers like Viagogo or Ticketmaster resale as tickets will be more expensive and may not be honoured by the venue.

"This is a really special and spectacular show and we're sure audiences will be thrilled when they see it."
