It鈥檚 always nice to go out for some tasty pub grub as a family .
But if you鈥檝e got kids who can鈥檛 sit still for a second it鈥檚 better if you can find a place where the kids can play until their food arrives.
With that in mind, we鈥檝e put together a list of pubs with awesome play areas in Liverpool and beyond.
1. Game Bird
The Game Bird Fayre & Square is a family restaurant next to the A580.
Why not bring the kids for a day out and relax with a coffee inside the Wacky Warehouse? It's £3.50 per child per hour, but if you spend £10 on food in the restaurant your child can play for free.
If it鈥檚 nice then soak up the sun in the beer garden and grab a drink from the outside bar while the kids burn off some energy in the outside play area with sensory equipment.

Close to the M62 & M57 for good travel links, the Chapel Brook is also close to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Anfield, Goodison & Knowsley Safari Park - ideal for family days out!
There is a garden, free parking and a Fun Factory for kids which includes slides and soft play area.

3. Pollards Inn
Nestled in leafy Willaston Village, Wirral, award winning gastropub, Pollards Inn is owned by villagers (and parents of four) Jamie and Cara Kimpton.
It has an outdoor adventure play area, including slides, cargo nets and tyres - plenty for the kids to climb on and burn off some energy after dinner.

The Weld Blundell is just off the Formby bypass and has its own Play Zone, including a huge climbing frame with slides, ball pools and soft play area.

The Glegg Arms in Heswall is a Beefeater pub and has a large children's outdoor play area with a slide and climbing frame.

6. Brewers Fayre Burleydam
The Burleydam dates back to at least 1850 and has had many guises over the years, including a private residence, a nightclub and comedy venue.
Today, it is family friendly pub restaurant, close to Cheshire Oaks, Chester Zoo, and Liverpool city centre.
They also have a Fun Factory play area - perfect for keeping the little ones entertained.

The Harvest Mouse looks like it was once a working mill, but appearances can be deceiving and it is in fact a modern day pub and restaurant.
There are two play areas on site, outside play for when the weather is good and a Wacky Corner inside for the young ones, full of all the soft play things they love, including favourites like slides and ball pools.
So when they鈥檙e not sat at the table with you, they can have fun in the free soft play area in the corner where you can see them.

8. Lymewood Farm
The pub serves up carvery meals up through the week and weekends and had a children's menu too.
There is a kids area with play equipment and traditional toys too - also games consoles and books.

Kids make the atmosphere at Hickory鈥檚 . They have their own personal V.I.K (very important kids) menu, they can relax and watch a film in their very own 3D cinema room or, if the weather is nice (fingers crossed), they can explore the kids-only Secret Garden and Hicksville play-school.
Whilst exploring the magic garden if they鈥檙e really lucky, they may get to say hello to friendly Hickory鈥檚 alligator, Alfie.

The Ocean Plaza pub and restaurant seats over 300 diners inside with space in the garden area too.
It is very close to Southport Pleasureland, Lakeside Miniature Railway and the the shops on Lord Street and features a huge kids' play zone.
