A new Liverpool Fringe Festival is set to be staged in the city鈥檚 Hope Street area this summer.
The open access event will be held over a fortnight, starting on June 17.
And organisers Korova Arts, who already run the Preston Tringe Festival, say they have already signed up 10 venues and 20 acts to take part in the Liverpool fringe, including some heading for Edinburgh.
They include the Casa, Blackburne House, The Quarter and 81 Renshaw Street, as well as Valley Theatre in Netherley.
Korova Arts creative director Sam Buist says: 鈥淚n the first year, our main aim is to engage with the different communities and arts communities in Liverpool, as well as attracting some acts from outside the city ?including a few Edinburgh previews.
鈥淲e hope to become a leading fringe festival in the North West. And why not look to challenge festivals like the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe long term??/p>
Anyone who wants to be part of the festival should apply via the website HERE by March 28.
