A Liverpool skin clinic has successfully given Geordie Shore star Kyle Christie a £10,000 beard transplant.
The Skin Clinic and Hair Transplant Centre in Mossley Hill performed the procedure to give the reality personality a bushier beard.
Kyle, who had an on-off romance with co-star Holly Hagan, opted for the transplant after revealing he felt low in confidence.
The beard transplant took 12 hours to complete and involved having up to 2,000 follicles taken from the nape of his neck and grafted individually onto his cheeks, chin and moustache area.
Dr Kumari, of the Hair Transplant Centre in Liverpool, revealed to Mirror Celeb that Kyle designed his own hairline after feeling down about his sparse beard and obvious patches.
She said: 鈥淗e had a confidence problem. Obviously he鈥檚 a telly guy and he wants to look his best,?/p>
鈥淗e wanted his beard to look more filled out ?just for his self-esteem, he doesn鈥檛 want to feel low about it.?/p>
Recovering from the procedure takes a couple of days, though Kyle won鈥檛 experience the bushy facial hair of his dreams for another 12 to 18 months.
Wayne Rooney previously admitted to having a hair transplant in 2011 for the top of his head before returning to have the procedure completed in 2013.
He said: 鈥淛ust to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not.
鈥淚鈥檓 delighted with the result鈥?I had it done in Harley street hair clinic London. Thanks to all the staff who looked after me.?/p>
