Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has been pictured at Finch Farm with bruising and swelling to his eye and nose.

The 23-year-old was seen leaving training with a black eye, after he was involved in a row with an unidentified man in Santa Chupito in Liverpool City Centre on Sunday.

Barkley arrived to training wearing sunglasses and a hat, hiding his injuries.

He also pulled down the sun visor of his blacked out window Range Rover.

But the full extent of his injuries were shown on his exit from the training ground this afternoon, reports the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League footballer was the victim of an 'unprovoked' attack when he was punched in the face

Barkley was punched to the floor by a man in the city centre bar, at around 1am on Sunday, following the Toffees鈥?4-2 victory over Leicester City.

In CCTV footage which was leaked by a member of staff at the bar, Barkley can be seen speaking to a unidentified man.

He is seen leaning in to speak more closely to the man and putting a hand on the man鈥檚 shoulder while doing so.

Seconds later the man throws two punches, the first which hits Barkley in the face and knocks him to the floor.

The man continues to throw punches, while Barkley attempts to get up off the floor, before he is dragged away by another customer in the bar.
