Police appeal

Merseyside Police has released CCTV images of a man officers want to speak to in connection with an assault on a woman whilst she was shopping at the Asda store in Bromborough on March 9.

The unknown male is described as white, early 20’s, medium build, 5ft 7in, with mousey brown hair which was shaved at the side but worn in a tight bun at the back which was a distinctive turquoise colour.

There was a recent reported sighting of him in the New Ferry area.

Detective Inspector Paul Parry said: “We would really appreciate the public’s help in tracing this individual.

“These are good quality CCTV images and we urge anybody who believes they recognise this man to get in touch.”

ITV announce release date for Rhys Jones drama Little Boy Blue starring Stephen Graham

A real life drama based on the murder of 11-year-old Rhys Jones will hit our TV screens within a fortnight.

A dying grandad who always wanted to win on the Grand National achieved his dream - then passed away an hour later.

Arthur Bowering, 85, died at home surrounded by his family on Saturday after his namesake One For Arthur romped home at Aintree.

Luxury car hire firm threatens Conor McGregor with legal action

UFC champion Conor McGregor has been warned he could face legal action - by the luxury car hire firm whose Rolls-Royce he was pictured standing on while partying in Huyton.

The Irish mixed martial arts fighter has been seen at several locations in Merseyside since arriving for the Grand National festival last weekend.

And in one of his own Instagram posts he was pictured standing on the bonnet of a luxury car in the driveway of a house, believed to be in Huyton.

Daniel Tung twice struck at The Arthouse Hotel after earlier targeting The Masonic Hall in Liverpool city centre.

The 18-year-old was wanted by police at the time for failing to attend court over a home burglary in Runcorn.

Liverpool Crown Court heard Tung entered Brendan Lee’s house, after he fell asleep with his French doors unlocked, on October 4 last year.

Norris Green house and car riddled with bullet holes after shooting

A car and the wall of a house were left riddled with bullet holes following a “drive-by shooting” in Norris Green.

The damage could be clearly seen this morning as investigations continued into yesterday evening’s attack.

Murder accused in court
